FEATURED FESTIVAL:

The 28th Annual
Charles Dickens Festival

Port Jefferson Village, New York
Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 7-8, 2024
Sponsored by The Greater Port Jefferson Arts Council

"There is nothing in the world so irresistibly contagious as laughter and good humor."

In the quaint hamlet of Port Jefferson,

a wondrous transformation shall occur, whisking it back to the days of yore, specifically to the era of Mr. Charles Dickens himself. The cobblestone streets shall brim with life, bustling with such characters as Father Christmas, the esteemed Dickens Mayor, the miserly Scrooge, the ever-vigilant Town Crier, and the sprightly, soot-faced chimney sweeps.

Open to All and Sundry

...these festive proceedings shall demand no toll, thus allowing every soul, be they in the first flush of youth or possessing a heart eternally youthful, to partake in the merriment.

The celebration promises a delightful array of familiar amusements:

skaters shall glide gracefully upon the ice at the Village Center; choirs and harmony groups shall regale with their a cappella serenades; and the Nutcracker shall pirouette once more, alongside mesmerizing performances by The Great Wizard of the North and a host of skilled musicians from the surrounding shires.

Moreover, this year's revelry shall be graced by Theater Three's Annual rendition of "A Christmas Carol," a tale penned by none other than myself, promising to imbue the festivities with the true spirit of Christmas. So, gather round, one and all, for a celebration that promises to be both splendid and unforgettable.
